Wild Dreams

I had a series of fairly intense and eccentric dreams last night. Here are all the bits and pieces I remember.

Dream snippet #1

I was riding against some guy in a bike race. I remember us riding through a cave and he was ahead of me. Somehow, I gained on him, crossed the finish line first and won. I felt stunned and delighted. Pee-wee's Playhouse ending credit music started playing. How epic! (And ridiculous). And just like Pee-Wee at the end of the show, there was a frontal view of me riding the bike, smiling and beaming with pride.

Dream snippet #2

Someone told me my mother had died. I realized I never got to tell her I love you, or goodbye. I started weeping really hard. I felt pain in my chest from the exertion of crying, and started to feel exhausted from it, but I couldn't stop. Sad.

Dream snippet #3

There was a world whose inhabitants were bean-shaped, cartoony and seemingly computer-generated. But that's not what was freaky about the people. These people had two bodies; one on either side of themselves. Specifically, they had two fronts. In other words, where our backs and butts would be, they're faces and front-sides where. One side was their displayed body. It was how they'd created their ideal physical image. But it was false! The actual body they were born with was on the other side, and it was always covered by head scarves and big, bug-eye sunglasses. A female bean said to another:

"Be sure not to show your essence!!"

The "essence" was their real body, the ones they were born with--The ones that were inferior to their displayed sides.

I realized after I woke up that the image of these bean-shaped, double-sided peeps were actually these things we sell at work, called Mighty or Super Beans:

(Note: The beans in my dream weren't Marvel superheros, or whatever these things are.)

Dream snippet #4
The cat I used to own, Bing, was scratching the hell out of my puppies. I was sure he would maul them, but he didn't.

So let's recap my dream through a word montage:

Bike, WIN, Pee-wee music, Death, Cat, Beans.

That's how I roll.
